Business Planning & Economics Specialist

The Business Planning & Economics Specialist is responsible for ensuring the economic viability and commercial success of the project. This role involves executing detailed financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and ridership forecasting to inform service planning. The specialist formulates commercial and fare strategies, analyzes socio-economic impacts, and conducts transit integration studies including spatial planning and transit-oriented development to support stakeholder reporting and project funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed financial modeling and cost-benefit analyses to determine the long-term economic viability of the project.

  • Develop ridership forecasts and demand elasticity models to inform service planning and capacity requirements.

  • Formulate commercial strategies, including fare structures and non-fare revenue opportunities.

  • Analyze socio-economic impacts to support funding justifications and stakeholder reporting.

  • Conduct transit integration studies including people and vehicle flow analyses

  • Manage spatial planning and transit-oriented development (TOD) and architectural arrangements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree or higher in a related Engineering or Management Field

Experience

  • 10 Years of Experience in Task-Related Fields

  • Experience working with transit-oriented development (TOD) is Advantage

English Language Proficiency

TOEFL >= 70 / IELTS >=6.0 / TOEIC >= 750 / CEFR: B2 or better
