Chief Contract Manager
The Chief Contract Manager provides high-level oversight of Contract Administration and establishes the governing rules for the Project’s contractual processes. This role performs the functions of a FIDIC Engineer or equivalent for contract administration and construction/installation supervision specifically for rail-based urban public transport projects. The Manager ensures compliance with FIDIC Red/Pink or Yellow Book models for large-size works and plant contracts while safeguarding the Employer’s interests through the PMM and Quality Assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and implement a contract management procedure and claims management procedure subject to quality assurance
Manage high-level oversight of contract administration for large-size construction and equipment contracts under FIDIC Red/Pink or Yellow Book
Review contract-related reports correspondence and engineers’ determinations to provide recommendations for employer approval
Develop uniform payment processes and verify compliance before contract signing
Consideration of contractors’ payment applications and re-evaluate payment rates based on actual progress
Master Claims Register (MCR) to track status and evaluate additional cost or time concerns using consistent numbering
Represent the Employer in meetings with related parties prepare meeting content
Evaluate third-party claims and manage employer claims by recording evidence and developing compensation plans for additional time or costs
Issue bi-annual claims reports and include contract management and MCR updates in quarterly progress reports
Qualifications and Skills
Master’s degree or higher in a related Engineering or Management Field
Experience
10 Years of Experience in Task-Related Fields
5 Years of Experience in Urban Transport Projects in SEA and/or Indonesia
English Language Proficiency
Native Speaker / TOEFL >= 80 / IELTS >=7.5 / TOEIC >= 850 / CEFR: C1 or better
