Depot and Workshop Specialist

The Depot and Workshop Specialist is responsible for the technical review of the proposed design and oversight of the implementation of the maintenance facilities, specialized machinery, and diagnostic tools. This role ensures that depot layouts, workflows, and equipment installations comply with international technical standards and safety protocols, providing expert recommendations to ensure the facility is fully operational for fleet maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Detailed Engineering Designs for depot civil works, structural elements, and MEP to issue recommendations for Employer approval

  • Verify the functional layout and workflow design of maintenance facilities to maximize operational efficiency and system integration

  • Verify the technical requirements for specialized workshop machinery, heavy lifting equipment, and advanced diagnostic tools

  • Supervise the installation and testing of depot equipment to ensure full readiness for fleet maintenance activities

  • Establish comprehensive safety protocols for high-voltage workshop environments and the handling of hazardous materials

  • Verify that all depot design documentation complies with regulations, technical standards, and quality assurance requirements

  • Review the interface and configuration management to provide reasoned opinions for approval or rejection

  • Review Functional Engineering Designs for railway systems to ensure they align with the depot's operational requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree or higher in a related Engineering or Management Field

Experience

  • 15 Years of Experience in Task-Related Fields

  • Experience working with European Railway Standards is Advantage

English Language Proficiency

TOEFL >= 70 / IELTS >=6.0 / TOEIC >= 750 / CEFR: B2 or better
