Policy and Regulatory Specialist

The Policy and Regulatory Specialist provide expert advice on regulatory frameworks and tariff structures to enable effective utilization of VGI and VPP resources. This role guides discussions on market structure reforms and ensures the integration of VGI/VPP into the Power Development Plan (PDP) and other sectoral planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities and stakeholder engagement incl. events, specifically with government and EV industry participants
  • Oversee development of knowledge products on project activities
  • Provide inputs to the team leader to assist in completing the deliverables.

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Thai citizenship
  • Master’s degree in law or public policy
  • Knowledge of legislative processes a plus 

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience advising industry and political leaders, with at least a year of international experience
  • n-depth familiarity and experience in the power sector and e-mobility Thailand, with good knowledge of electricity grid infrastructure, regulation and market structure.
  • Familiarity with Thai EV industry associations and global EV industry trends
  • Experience in developing Thai policies, laws and regulations, communicating EV industry technical issues
  • Experience in working with Thai state-owned enterprises

English Language Proficiency

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
